In Loving Memory of
Pierre Richard Anthony Williams

Pierre Richard Anthony Williams was the second son of Neil and Catherine Williams. He was born on October 24, 1980 at Howard University Hospital.
As a young child, Pierre loved to sing with his brother Paul and sister Aisha. He attended Reid Temple A.M.E. Church where he was a mainstay of the children's choir known as the Reidettes. As a teenager, Pierre loved to swim, play chess, run track and build computers. In his young adult life, Pierre was always involved in political activities, and mentoring programs that proved to complement his abilities as being a good role model for children. During his hospital stay Pierre slept with his computer on his hospital bed contracting business and communicating with his Fraternity family and friends.
Pierre attended D.C. Public Schools from kindergarten through high school. He started at Bunker Hill Elementary School then moved to Jefferson Jr. High School. Thereafter, he became fascinated with Bertie Backus Middle School because of their Science and Technology Program and encouraged his sister to attend Backus where she later traveled to Iceland on a science project. He graduated second highest academically. He attended to School Without Walls High School where he entered up for the White House Correspondence Scholarship and was the recipient during the Clinton Administration.
Pierre graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta GA in 2004. It was during his undergraduate years at Morehouse College Pierre pledged his beloved Fraternity, Phi Beta Sigma (Chi Chapter). Upon graduation, Pierre elected to bypass Law School to become an elementary school teacher working within the D.C. public school system teaching the 4th grade. Pierre was working on his master's degree in education at American University when illness altered his steps. He was committed to fulfilling his degree requirements by July 2007.
Pierre was a dedicated son, brother, friend, and family member who also contributed much of his time to becoming a devoted social justice activist throughout his community. He was known to always put others before himself. Pierre was aggressive, determined, convicted, self-opinionated person with a strong compassion to succeed. Pierre would not take no for an answer. Pierre's favorite quote was "The tragedy of life lies not in reaching your goals. The tragedy of life lies in having no goals to reach"(Benjamin E. Mays).
Pierre leaves behind his loving mother and father, Neil and Catherine Williams, his brother Paul, sister Aisha, Grandparents: Paul and Eileen Williams, Great aunts: Rosalie Grimes and Joyce Vasconcellas.
